Are You on the “Yes” Express?

Recently, I had an opportunity to meet Jack Canfield.  Jack Canfield is the famous author of The Chicken Soup for the Soul book series.  He is also a multi-millionaire, star of the movie, The Secret, and author of numerous other books on success.  Jack is practically a house-hold name.

Jack and Pamela, my coach, are co-authoring a book on using tapping for success, to be published by Hay House this spring: 2012.

So… Pamela asked for several volunteers who had been working with their program to come into the recording studio and be recorded for their upcoming DVD to be released with the book.  The moment I heard about this offer, I knew I had to be a part of it.

I didn’t know why and it didn’t make sense.  But I didn’t care.  My intuition told me to go.

Those of you who have been around me for a while know I always trust my intuition.

Many times in business, you will be guided to do things that don’t make sense, that seem to be difficult, that may be challenging – and yet you know they are the right thing to do.  Things like an assistant for your team, hiring a mentor, taking a trip, going to an event, purchasing a training, signing on with a new software system or service.

Trusting and taking action upon your intuition can be a challenge at times because to the logical mind, it doesn’t make sense.

And here’s another point with following your intuition: it doesn’t make sense to other people.  (And sometimes not even to you!)

That’s ok.  They’re not walking in your shoes.  They don’t have your experiences.  They don’t know the dreams in your heart.

When I shared my interest in doing this, several people questioned me.  “Why would you go all the way to LA?” one said.  “I wouldn’t fly all the way there just for that!” another one said.

I ignored them.  I knew, inside my being, it was the right thing.

I live in South Florida and the studio is in Los Angeles, California – clear across the country.  In order to do this, I had to fly on Valentine’s Day to LA and then home the next day.  It would be an arduous and expensive trip.

Here’s the thing:  while I don’t understand all the reasons why this was important at this point in time, here are some of the reasons that I could see:

1.       Jack Canfield.  I got to meet him in person, have lunch with him, laugh with him, experience being around him.

Before you think this is not such a big deal, let me explain to you why, in energetic terms, this is a big deal.

When you have a dream in your life about where you want to go and how you want to live, it is essential to surround yourself with people who are where you want to go

Hang out with people who have blazed the trail before you.

I had an opportunity get into my body what it’s like to be hanging around with a multi-millionaire.  This more easily allows me to now train my mind and body to step into that experience.

This experience allowed me to try on the casualness of wealth, the joy of wealth and the fun of wealth.  What’s that worth?  Gold.

2.       Pamela Bruner. I got to hang out with a favorite person of mine all day, and to be around her energy.  I got to watch as she creates her dream right before my eyes, so beautifully and so successfully.

If you want to birth your own dreams, be around others who are birthing theirs.

3.       Hay House.  I got to energetically connect with my favorite publishing house – in a whole different way.  I love Hay House!   I love what they put out.  Their programs, their books, their authors … I love what they represent.

To be able to be a part of something like that was magnificent.

If you want to create something in your life, you must energetically connect to it first.

4.       Big Opportunity.  I got to be a part of this incredible new program. This DVD and book program is going to be an amazing success, and it is going to help many people transform their thinking so that they can take the actions they need to take to create their dreams.

This was not an opportunity I was willing to say “no, it’s too inconvenient” to.

When opportunity shows up, say “Yes!”

5.       Recording Success.  When I’m ready to create a recording myself, I’ll have a first-hand experience what going into a DVD recording studio looks and feels like.

When you experience something visually, physically, auditorially, and energetically, you have a very powerful knowing to connect with in then creating that for yourself.

Getting an experience in your body, viscerally, helps you create what you want much more quickly.

6.       Name Recognition.  In business, name and brand recognition is essential. When you first begin, you must connect with mentors who have gone before you.

When you work with a mentor, you align your energy with theirs and your work with their work, because you learn from them.

Your mentor’s connections become your connections.

This is an important and fun piece of growing your business.

Questions for you to ponder:

1)  What are you saying ‘yes’ to in your life?

2)  And, more important, what do you need to say ‘yes’ to in your life?

3) What is your intuition telling you to say yes to, and you’re not listening?

4)  Are you willing to let go of your fear and trust your gut?

If so, then take one action today to anchor it in your being.  Step out in trust, and follow your intuitive guidance.  Do it now.  (You’ll be glad you did.)

Even if you don’t understand where your intuition is guiding you, if you want to have your dreams become manifested into reality, then you must learn to fully trust your intuition.  Because that is the way your path unfolds, one step at a time.

Get going, Divine One!  Your world is waiting for you!

Hugs, Anne

How Intuitive Are You?

MP3 File

“How do you know if you’re intuitive?” someone asked recently. “I mean, I think I am, but I’m not really sure what that means.”

She’s not alone.

Many people wonder if they are intuitive.  Let me start off by saying “Everyone is intuitive.”

Now, before you go “Yeah, right!” let me explain.  Intuitive abilities are inherent in each one of us, just as our ability to breathe is inherent.

You see, most people think of intuition as being psychic.  And to some degree, they are right.  But not fully.  Psychic is a higher level of intuition – intuition that is more refined.   Intuition, on the other hand, is actually a very balanced way of experiencing life.  It involves both left-brain logic and right-brain creativity.  Being intuitive involves paying attention to the subtle and not-so-subtle clues that are given to us every day by life, and the people around us.

Intuition is the ability to see life beyond the five senses.  It is the ability to live your life from a heart-centered, even spiritual, way.  People who live in a five-sensory way see life filled with limitations and fear; they feel victimized by others and by life itself.  They feel they must compete with and control those around them in order to feel safe.  People who live in a five-sensory way live life from a place of fear, from the ego.  They do not trust in a higher purpose, and they certainly do not believe they can change their world.

Perhaps you know people like this.

A sixth-sensory person, on the other hand, lives life (maybe not all the time, but most of the time) with a focus on trust and faith.  They believe they are here for a reason, and have gifts to bring to the world around them.  (And they believe the world wants those gifts!)  They believe they are connected with others.  They believe in possibility and in creativity.  They believe in something greater than themselves, and feel as though they are a part of the whole.

You see, each one of us has the ability to be six-sensory.  For some, however, the sixth sense lies dormant until one is ready to awaken to it.  Each of us has the ability to trust and have faith – to see life from a higher, broader perspective.  Each has the ability to believe in possibility and creativity – to believe in connection with one another at a deeper level.

It is up to us to step into our sixth sense and activate it as we decide.  It is up to us to choose to be six-sensory.

Personally, I think that’s pretty awesome, don’t you?

There are specific steps we can take to activate our sixth sense more regularly.  I’ll be covering these in future ezine articles, so stay tuned.  For now, however, here is one action you can begin to take each and every day to help you develop your intuition more fully.

Your Action Steps:

Every day, begin your day by envisioning it going well.  Hold the intention of meetings being successful, of connections being made that are deep and supportive, of work being completed with clarity and focus.  Tell yourself it’s going to be a fabulous, wonderful, successful day!  Envision your day at the beginning of the day going well.  Your ability to envision a positive outcome will help you create the very thing you want.

By the way, pay attention to the moments when you catch yourself grumbling about someone or something – in that moment you are envisioning what you DON’T want, so catch yourself and stop.  Turn the other cheek and begin to envision what you DO want.

Have fun with it!

Creating Abundance 101

MP3 File

There was a time in my life when I had no money.  I was just out on my own, working in downtown DC, and living in Arlington, VA, and I didn’t have bus money, so I had to walk to work.  It was about 3 miles (each way).

I remember what that was like.

Then later in my life, when my daughter was born, her father and I made a decision that I would stay home with her to raise her.  And oh, how I loved being home with my baby!  But oh, wow, did we ever take a huge cut in our income – over 50% at that time.  Suddenly, I didn’t have money to put gas in my car at times.  It was really tough.  And I worried about it and complained to my friends about not having any money.

Interestingly, on a deep level, I could feel that I was doing something I shouldn’t be doing.  (Complaining, that is.)  But I didn’t have the mental understanding of how powerful my complaining was in creating my experience.

One day, when my daughter was about 2, I came across an author by the name of Francis Scovel Schinn.  Her book, “Your Word is Your Wand,” transformed my life.  She introduced me to the idea of affirmations, and how powerful our language is in creating our experiences.

Wow.

I began to see how much I complained, how much I worried, how much I whined about money.

Double wow.

I decided I would put ol’ Franny to the test.  I decided I would post affirmations around the house, focusing on what I wanted to create.  I went into my closet and decided I wanted nicer, better clothes.  So, I wrote up an affirmation on a 3″x5″ card and posted it in my closet.  The affirmation went something like this: “I am now clothed in the beauty and glory of God.”

Every day, when I went into my closet, I saw that affirmation.  Within a very short time (just a couple of months), I had gotten a whole bunch of new clothes.  My mother gave me some (a gift certificate from Land’s End, which I loved), and I found some clothes on sale at a department store.  Someone else gave me some.  Soon, I discovered that I was clothed in the beauty and glory of God!

I was sold.  My love affair with affirmations began there and hasn’t stopped yet.

Why?  Because our language is powerful.  Because our focus is incredible.  Because our emotions and our attention to things can and do create our reality.

Where are you creating your life to be the way you want it?  And where are you creating your life to be the way you do not want it to be?

It is essential for you to speak powerfully if you are to create powerfully. And it is essential that you become congruent (or aligned) with that which you intend to create.

Here’s how you do this:

  • You become congruent with what you want by clearing out the inner conversations and beliefs that say you cannot have what you want.
  • You become congruent by keeping your word – to yourself, and to others.  Integrity is essential if you wish to become a conscious, powerful co-creator.
  • You become congruent by maintaining an inner state of peacefulness – by not creating drama with those who share your life.
  • You become congruent by holding the vision (i.e., energy or belief) of what you want longer than you hold it for what you do not want.
  • You become congruent by speaking positively to yourself and to others, by being optimistic instead of pessimistic.
  • You become congruent by being compassionate and generous in your thoughts toward yourself and toward others.
  • You become congruent by holding the light for yourself and others, by believing in yourself and others, even when it is difficult to do so.

Each of us wants to create lives filled with love, abundance and joy.  And each of us deserves to have our lives be filled with love, abundance and joy.

By practicing these skills, you will create your life to be just what you desire.

Oh, yeah!  Wow!

Your Action Steps

Start today by speaking your vision into being.  Hold your thoughts on what you want, not what you do not want.  Be your word.  Honor your commitments.  Speak positively to others.  Give yourself (and others) a break.  Choose kindness and generosity.

And watch your life transform!

10 Inner Beliefs That Block Your Wealth

“A belief is just a thought that you keep thinking over and over again.”

– Abraham-Hicks

I was recently working with a client who has been struggling to build her business. She feels as though no matter what she does, she just can’t get a break. The economy collapsed. The person delivering her products took her money and ran. The assistant who was helping her turned out to be a nightmare. And so on.

These are all very legitimate issues. They are all very real challenges that she has been facing. Still, when we began to look further into her inner conversation about wealth, some interesting beliefs began to crop up. As she began to explore these beliefs, she began to see that she had been making choices regarding her business from those beliefs.

For example, the above statement “No matter what I do, I just can’t get a break” is one we’ve all heard numerous times in our lives. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy if you think it often enough. And yet, people say it without even thinking.

For my client, it certainly seemed as though she wasn’t getting a break. However, once we began to tap on (use EFT) that belief or affirmation, she began to soften the negative charge she was feeling with it. Once the negative charge softened, she began to see the areas in which she was receiving breaks: customers who were placing orders; other products being shipped on time and in correct amounts, people who came forward to help her after her assistant left.

But – and here’s the important point here – before she tapped, she felt as though she really couldn’t get a break. She had deleted out the other wonderful “breaks” she was getting in her life. She, in essence, couldn’t even see the good breaks because the feeling that she couldn’t get a break was so active within her.

Because that belief had been so charged up in her vibration, or to say it another way, had been so strongly held, she was actually making bad business decisions because of it. She had chosen the assistant because she was in a hurry and hadn’t wanted to spend a lot of time looking for someone. She had trusted the guy with the products, even though she had felt a little “uh-oh” feeling in her gut.

Each one of us has similar conversations inside ourselves. Because this particular article is about money, I am going to focus on our common inner money talk. If you discover that some of these resonate with you, please, PLEASE tap to shift the charge of those beliefs. You will be awfully glad you did! (Even if you only feel a little twinge; tap anyway. It’s in there!)

1. I don’t deserve to have a lot of money.
2. Money doesn’t just grow on trees, you know.
3. I can’t do it. I don’t know how to get a lot of money.
4. People will think I think I’m better than they are if I am wealthy.
5. People will hate me if I have a lot of money.
6. Everyone will want something from me if I have a lot of money.
7. People like me don’t become wealthy.
8. I’d have to manage it all and I don’t know how to do that. OR
9. I’d have to trust someone to manage it all and I don’t know who to trust.
10. Life is just so hard! Who am I kidding to think I can create what I want?

As you tap on these beliefs, you will begin to feel them shift and melt away. The power – or negative emotional charge – will soften and you will actually begin to feel freer. Look for signs of energy release such as sighs or yawns. Or you may just wonder what the big deal is all about anyway. You may simply go on to something else and forget you ever felt that way.

All of that is normal as you shift your energy. Don’t you owe it to yourself to change your point of attraction by changing your inner beliefs? After all, what else are you doing?
