A Christmas Blessing for You

Today is Christmas, a day we celebrate the Divine birth of sacred energy within.

And today, millions of people all over the world will celebrate it through giving and receiving gifts, eating great food and laughing and sharing loving memories with family and friends.

I LOVE Christmas!

Even as a child, I loved the holiday music, the quietness of the season, and the fun of gift giving and receiving.  I loved the connection people had with one another, the smiles they gave, and their lightness of being.

So today, my offering for you is this:

A Christmas Blessing

May you experience the Divine birth

of your sacred dreams;

May you clearly hear that still small voice within as it guides you in each step

that you take;

May you have the abundance

you so richly deserve for having the courage it takes follow that quiet guidance;

May you see your own beautiful light

as you shine it brightly

into the world around you;

May you feel the joy that you bring to others as you offer yourself and your gifts;

and

May you experience the pure, sacred love of the Divine.

May this be so … in all ways, always.

Have a very beautiful, very blessed Christmas!

Hugs, Anne

Got Choices? Get Answers!

“I don’t know what to do!”

I overheard this statement as I walked back into the auditorium at the event I was attending.

Two women were behind me discussing a coaching program that was being offered at the event.  I could still hear them talking.

“What are you going to do?” one asked the other.

“I’m not sure.  I really want to, but that’s so much money!”

“I know!  But I really think it will make a difference if I do it,” the first one said, finally.

The women sat down at my table.  I smiled and said hello, and we began to discuss the event.  They began to talk again about the coaching program and asked me if I was going to participate in it.

No,” I replied.  “I have my hands full with my coach.” I smiled.  “How about you?” I asked.

“I really want to,” one of them replied.  “But I’m just not sure.  I mean, I really like what she’s offering, but it’s so much money!”

“I know something that would help.  Would you like to hear what it is?” I asked.

“Sure!” she said.

“Ok, then, close your eyes,” I began.  “And imagine that you have two roads in front of you.  One leads to the left, and one to the right.  The one leading to the left is the road of not doing the program.  The one to the right is the one of doing the program.  Now take a deep breath.  And ask yourself, which of these is the right decision?”

“Oh, my God!” she exclaimed.  “The one to the right!”

“Great!  How do you know?” I asked.

“Because it’s really bright and has all of these flowers that appeared.  Am I making this up?”

“No,” I said, “You are just connecting to your intuition as you make a decision.”

In my experience, most people don’t take the time to consciously check in with their intuition before they make a decision.  But when you do this, you give yourself a huge advantage.  Here’s why:

1)  You get very clear about which road or decision is the right one for you.

2)  You trust your decision far more, which results in a lot less energy spent second-guessing yourself.

3)  You discover that your world begins to flow – situations work more smoothly, the right people show up when you need them, and information shows up at the time you need it to.

4)  You gain confidence in yourself and in your ability to make good decisions.

5)  You discover that you begin to have that magnetic attractor factor that draws clients and people to you like magnets.

6)  Things work for you and not against you.

7)  Your business grows, more easily than you could imagine.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

So, next time you have a decision to make, take a moment and check in with your intuition.

1)  Close your eyes.

2)  Breathe deeply.

3)  Imagine your options in two (or three) roads.

4)  Ask which is the correct one for now.

5)  Wait. See which reveals itself to you.

6)  Trust what you get.

7)  Take action upon it.

Your intuition will never guide you wrong.  Never.  Your job is to ask, and then to recognize what it is telling you.  Then trust it enough to take action.

How Can I Grow My Business?

One of my favorite topics these days is “how can I grow my business?” (Just ask my family, they hear me talk about it incessantly.)  I don’t mean to be a one-note Jill, but for some reason, it is just about all I think about.

I am fascinated by the process this journey requires.  There is not only the experience of figuring out what I want to offer, but also the method or way in which I intend to offer my gifts to the world.  This means, well, products, services, and marketing.

I never paid much attention to this – not really – when I had a practice where I saw people one-on-one for sessions.  I would regularly give talks and presentations, but I never went much beyond the Yellow Pages ad.  I had planned on creating more of my work online at some point in time, but I was never really sure where to go with it or what to offer or how to do it.  I mean, I frankly struggled with dealing with a website.

Then, I met Mande White.  Mande attended one of my workshops, and I liked her instantly.  We became friends over the course of a year, as well as colleagues.  She helped me immensely when it came to “How the heck do I do THIS?” (whatever “this” was).  Mande has her own business, where she teaches people how to use the social media world for their businesses.  She is in great demand, and clients absolutely love her, because she explains things so well, and gives so much.

Since then, I’ve been learning how to move forward doing what I love to do.  I will say, however, it’s been a real journey.  And not much fun sometimes.  I get stuck in my own inner conversations that say “This is too hard!” or “I don’t know how to DO it!” or “Who am I kidding? My dream is just so much bigger than I know how to create!”  The thing is, magical people have been coming forward to help me.

First, it was the Magnificent Mande White.  Then entered Alicia Forest, an incredible coach who teaches how to build your business online.  Then yummy Jan Masters, who is an amazing coach who helps people maintain their sense of joy in life.  Then MamaRed Knight, who does awesome, fun, and energizing radio shows.  Then Melissa Hart, a wonderful assistant, who makes cold calls for me, and loves doing it!  (Imagine that!) Then Sharon Savage, a delightful VA, who has been taking the load off my shoulders and putting it onto hers (all the while laughing with me).

What I’ve realized is this:  I don’t have to know how to create what it is I want.  Spirit (or the Universe or God or whatever you want to call that energy of Love and Light and Beauty and Syncronicity) is bringing to me the perfect people at the perfect time to help me take that next step.  I don’t have to have it all planned out.  I can just trust and have faith that it will.

(This from a minister.  See, I’m still learning, too.)  To quote my daughter:  “It’s all good.”

Got Clients?

MP3 File

Office

Years ago, when I began my practice, I found myself in a challenging situation.  I needed clients.  They were trickling in, but I didn’t have the level of clientelle I wanted.  So I began to do the usual marketing things: I gave talks, handed out flyers, advertised, told people what I did for a living, and so on.  But what I didn’t do (at least not right away) was to envision my practice filled with clients.

That was too big a step.

Ever hear the saying “You’ve got to walk before you can run”?  Well, this was a prime example of that.  Until I had a few more clients coming in my door, I couldn’t envision my practice filled.

So, I decided to begin where I was.  I started envisioning one more client per week.  When that happened, I began to envision two more clients per week.  And so on.  It worked.

I’m going to share some of the easy-peasy visualizations that I learned (and that worked for me) so that you, too, can bring to you more of the wonderful clients you are meant to serve.

Visual #1

This one I learned from Sanaya Roman (www.OrinDaBen.com):  Imagine you have a search light on top of your shop (practice, office, etc.).  Turn the light on, and imagine that search light going out into the world.  Imagine your clients (ideal clients now, not just any client) seeing it and finding you.  (You do NOT have to visualize HOW they find you, only that they find you.)  They will find you.

Visual #2

This one I learned from my beloved mentor, Wray Shelton:  Imagine you have a red carpet coming up to your front door.  Lay out the red carpet for your client.  Light up your red carpet.  See them coming to you, walking up that carpet..  (Again, they will, and again, you don’t have to visualize how they come to you.)

Visual #3

Another Sanaya Roman visual:  Imagine your heart filled with the Light of the Divine.  Now, see that light going out from your heart to the hearts of your new (even current, and old) clients, connecting the two of you.  See them coming to you, hear them picking up the phone and calling you and making appointments with you.  Feel the connection with them.

If you will do any of these visuals (whichever feels the most comfortable to you) or even all of them, you will begin to see your client list increase.  And not just with any clients, but with your ideal clients, with clients you are Divinely meant to serve.

Let me know how it works for you!
