7 Ways to Create Community – and Abundance – in Your Business!

Community of Women

Spiritual Entrepreneurs often find themselves feeling very alone as they build their business … especially as they build their business online. While the internet has created an incredible opportunity for us to expand our reach, it also has created a space of isolation that we have never before seen in the history of humanity.

So how can you create a warm, caring, supportive community, particularly online, where you are building your business, connecting with other people, sharing your work and expertise, and making some money?

Here are seven ways to do just that!

1)      Host a live event (big or small)

People love connecting with others. They love coming together to learn. If you want to create a local community, host a live event. You can use MeetUp.com’s powerful reach to connect with your people. You’ll want to go to other groups to find people and invite them to your group, but that’s all a part of building your community.

Hosting a live event will have you show up as the expert in your field, and allow you to shine. You will build a wonderful community by doing this. You can connect with the new people on your list and offer them a service that will support them afterwards

2)      Host a telesummit

Hosting a telesummit is an opportunity for you to connect with the fans and followers of the guest speakers you invite onto your virtual stage. You can make some money doing this; however, it is not intended to be a money-maker.

3)      Host a Joint Venture Giveaway (big or small)

Hosting a JV Giveaway will allow you to connect with the fans and followers of your joint venture partners. This is very much a list-building opportunity and community-building opportunity.

4)      Offer a complimentary training

When you offer a complimentary training, you are showing up as an expert. You are providing an opportunity for your people to learn from you and to get a solution to a problem they have. You are building a community, especially if you provide a way for them to connect with one another, using, for example a Facebook group.

At the end of your training, you can offer your people a way to go further in a relationship with you by offering them a paid training or even to work with you one-on-one. Once the training is over you can get the calls transcribed and then offer it in many ways to build your list and connect with new people, each time inviting the new people to move further into a relationship with you.

5)      Create a Membership group (paid)

I LOVE my membership group, the Divine Business Club! People get tons of value for a small investment. They get major return on their investment. And this group allows me to connect with Spiritual Entrepreneurs all over the world! It allows me to get to know my target market and their challenges more and more, and when I make an offer for a class or one-on-one private work with me as a Divine Diamond, they often are ready to do that work.

A membership site is a win-win. Your people will come to know, like and trust you. It is not a major money-maker, however; rather, it is a place of nurturing your future clients, of learning what your tribe needs (think market research!), and building your community.

6)      Create a Pinterest Community Board

This is a board where your people can come together over a mutual interest and passion. They can share resources and ideas. You are the leader of the board, so they will see your name regularly (think visibility!).

View this as a way to build your list, expand your expert status and grow your platform. You can connect with the new people on your list and offer them a service that will support them afterwards.

7)      Create a Facebook or LinkedIn Group

This is one of the easiest ways to connect with your people. Go where they are hanging out – in social media, and create a space for them to hang out with you. It gives you a place to be seen as the expert, and it gives them a place to connect with others of like-mind.

In all of these ways to create community, please remember that it’s not about you. It’s about them. Give them ways to SHINE and be seen. Give them ways to share their expertise and offerings – this is so important!

People are looking for ways to connect not only with you, but also with other, similar, like-minded people. Invite them into your world, because the money is in the community you create.

Make it easy for them to connect with you and your business, and you’ll discover the money (and clients) will flow!
