Intuition Without Knowledge = ?

Recently, I was at an event where I got into a conversation with an intuitive healer.  I asked her if she was planning on signing up with the host of the event as a client.

She sighed.  “I want to.  I really do.  But I don’t think I need it.  You see, whenever I get confused about which direction to take, I just check in with my intuition.”

Hmmm…

Now you know good and well that I’m all about intuition.  Heck, I’m a total believer in it, right?

But here’s the thing: what I always think of in moments like these is the reality that co-creation (of anything!) isn’t just about intuition.  Intuition is a powerful tool.  An essential tool.  But it and it alone won’t … no, CAN’T do it.

Here’s what I mean.  Let’s say my loved one needed brain surgery.  (That’s not too far-fetched.  That actually happened a number of years ago.)  Would I even DREAM of being the one to perform it and to say “Well, if I get confused about which direction to take, I’ll just check in with my intuition.”

No way, Jose.  It’s ridiculous, right?  And yet, people believe they can build a business without studying how to do it and without investing the time and money to learn certain business skills.  They do this all the time. 

And what happens is that the business gets stuck and stays stuck.  And the business owner, that beautiful, hopeful, loving-the-world healer wonders why the heck she doesn’t have enough clients, or why she’s struggling financially, or why people don’t understand the type of work she does.

It’s simply because while she spent thousands of dollars and many years developing her skills and gifts, she forgot to add one little component:  business training.

Oops.

You see, once the surgeon is trained, it is THEN that he/she goes by intuition AND their training.

When you’re in your business to make a difference with your gifts – and I know you are – then you must invest in yourself to get business training, as well as intuition/healing training.  Period.  Because otherwise you won’t get your gifts out into the world the way Spirit is calling you to.  Not because you’re stupid.  Not because you don’t deserve to.  But simply because you don’t know how.

So the bottom line here is this: if you’re not getting the results you want in your business, it’s time to step it up and get some serious business training. 

• Learn how to speak your message – that beautiful message that calls your perfect clients forward. 
• Learn how to put together a juicy brand, so that people know what the heck it is you do. 
• Learn how to have successful sacred sales conversations, so that you can help more people in their lives. 
• Learn how to structure your business so that you’re not exchanging time for money any longer, but instead leveraging your time by offering packages and programs.
